Attributes on a closing tag
A closing tag carries attributes, which is never allowed.
What your parser calls it
The same problem, reported differently by each parser. If you arrived here from one of these strings, you are in the right place.
| Parser | Message |
|---|---|
| libxml2 / xmllint | expected '>' |
What causes it
An end tag has exactly one form: `</name>`. Attributes belong on the start tag only. This normally results from a copy-paste that duplicated the start tag and then added a slash, or from a templating loop emitting the wrong variable.
